recently there were many changes to how grapples work, which I believe are still not even documented
if you have literally any feedback in that direction you can leave it here

Grapple changes I have noticed (May not be completely right, correct my mistakes):

- 3 grapples max, grapples now recharge over time.

- Grapple recharge time depends on several factors, at mission it seems to go to around 30 seconds normally it is around 5 seconds. If hurt recently it goes to around 60 seconds.

- If you get shot you are unable to use the grapple for a little while.

- No more need for a coupler to use parachute after grappling. Coupler does NOT give 5 gs.
It looks like coupler gives you a few things:
First of it instantly gives you 3 gs.
Secondly it gives you a 5 second recharge time, no matter where you are.
And lastly it makes it so that you can keep grappling even when you have been shot.

- Unlimited grapples at the end of the bank pier and at HQ's.

Fero you should make a community support grappling hook guide, since you are finding out most of the new features.

Also:
-"F" instead of "R+2" to grapple
-In normal situations, 1 Grapple Shot takes 5 seconds to recharge
-In HQ you can grapple to and hang on the bottom of occupied helicopters, but not possible outside of HQ
-Available to R1-R5 instead of just R2+
-You can grapple to and hang on to the side of an object, but cannot hang under it
-Recharges significantly slower within 1 km of active missions, and slower-presumably the same amount slower-within 1 km of finished missions for several minutes
-Grapple cannot be used at Melambak besides the end of the fishing pier
That's all the other stuff I can think of, but I also wonder if what exactly couplers do now-do they just provide 5 GS, or something more?-and if GS recharge slower at captures and defenses.

Precise recharging times at missions and when hit and coupler use.

i did some tests at mission and found this:
1st test: 52 seconds
2nd test: 26 seconds
3rd test: 40 seconds
4th test: 51 seconds
5th test: 44 seconds
6th test: 31 seconds
those were done from me being at 3 grapples, using one and then timing until i get back to 3

Firstly you can grapple onto a Heli and enter at HQ and outside of HQ, but as a bug/glitch you can go in to Stunt position in a Heli and fall off which can cause you to loose a run (if above water).

And that is about it.

By grappling onto a heli, you only have a few seconds to press 'E' and get into the heli passenger seat, or else the server script will stop you from grappling onto the heli. It's kinda buggy if you didn't time it right

Grapple is also disabled while in possession of a gold suitcase from the bank.

The recharge of Grapple has only 5 seconds cooldown at airport

that's all cool but none of this is what the subforum is for - which is discussing how the server mechanics affect you and the server in general, not how they work

I think its useful, better than being stranded and running around villages to find a vehicle, you can slingshot to a nearby garage, if you know where they are.

More convenient when you're finding a car with grapple parachute rather than running around.

It's next to impossible to get stranded now. Bad as that would seem, being stranded and having to creatively find some "proper" form of transportation was interesting and somewhat fun as often as it was frustrating. Also, because of the current grapple, everyone has access to quick transportation that mostly ignores rough terrain and is not required to follow roads. Therefore, this makes personal vehicles and even vehicles dropped using LP much less useful - why use up LP and possibly waste a vehicle or try and find a garage to use a personal vehicle when you can just use the quickly recharging grapple to slingshot your way around?

I cant use grapple when I near bank and it's annoying. The restriction of grapple should be only bank area not the city and sea area.Last time when j was 500m far from bank and i cant use grapple which make me can't catch up with robbery in time. i think the restriction should be only inside bank and outside bank car park place.

I feel as if the grapple is in a great place right now. It's useable, accessible and the timers feel good. The restriction in combat is nice (even if frustrating) and I believe that the aspect of 'creative transport' and use of LP is not affected by the grapple how it is now. However, 3 burst hooks may be able to be changed a little.

Perhaps if you use all 3 before a new one generates you must wait longer to use it again. That is my suggestion of a tweak, but otherwise the grapple works well.
